Susan Barton's art doesn't fit into any one style or genre. In fact, she has been known to solely give way to her creativity.  Allowing the time and moment to describe what she sees and feels, her paintings and illustrations become conduits of her visions and perceptions.  The painting itself is allowed its own breath of life and reflection without labels.  This liberation of her art describes her inability to be categorized artistically by the art world and art critics.  She, through her art is...art escaping confinement.
